Our commitment

We build barrier-free spaces for our clients — accessible washrooms, clear routes, counters at the right height. It would be inconsistent to build those and then publish a website people cannot use.

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard referenced by Ontario's Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

What we have done

This site was built with the following in place from the start, not added afterwards:

• Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator
• Menus, drawers and dialogs announce their state to screen readers and return focus where it came from
• Text contrast meets or exceeds AA against its background
• Body copy is set at a fixed, readable size and reflows without loss of content when zoomed
• Images that carry meaning have alternative text; decorative images are hidden from screen readers
• Motion and animation respect your prefers-reduced-motion setting and stop if you have asked your device to reduce motion
• Forms have real labels, and errors are announced rather than only shown in colour
• Headings follow a logical order so a page can be navigated by structure

Known limitations

We would rather name these than let you find them:

• Some project photography carried over from our previous site has limited alternative text. We are rewriting it.
• Third-party embeds, such as mapping, follow their provider's accessibility rather than ours.
